Academic Dashboards

Overview

Academic dashboards display student grades, course performance, and standardized assessment results. The specific dashboards available depend on what academic data your district sends to Standard Education.

Available Academic Views

Depending on your district's data configuration, you may see some or all of these views:

Grades and Transcripts

You can view student grades by course and semester through these dashboard options:

• Course Grades: See individual student grades for each course with semester and year details
• High School Transcripts: View comprehensive transcript data showing course grades, credits attempted, and credits earned
• Grade History: Track student grades across multiple years to identify trends and patterns
• Students Below 70: This filtered view identifies students scoring below 70 in core subjects, making it easier to plan interventions and support strategies

School Performance

Get a complete picture of academic performance across your school with:

• Aggregate Academic Performance: View how your school performs overall compared to benchmarks
• Subject Area Averages: See average scores broken down by subject (Math, English Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, etc.)
• Grade Level Breakdowns: Analyze performance patterns across different grade levels to identify where additional support may be needed

End of Course (EOC) and End of Grade (EOG)

When your state administers standardized assessments, you'll see results through:

• EOC Results: High school end-of-course assessment results for state-mandated exams
• EOG Results: Elementary and middle school end-of-grade assessment results
• Performance Level Breakdowns: View how students are distributed across performance levels (Exemplary, Proficient, Developing, Beginning, etc.)

MAP Growth Dashboards

If your district uses MAP Growth assessments, you'll have access to:

• RIT Score Tracking: View MAP Growth Reading and Math RIT scores for your students
• Growth Comparisons: See growth between testing windows to measure student progress
• School-Level Views: Aggregate MAP data across your school
• Student-Level Views: Dive into individual student performance and growth trajectories

Cohort Tracker

Track groups of students across years with:

• Cohort Management: Monitor specific groups of students as they progress through your district
• Graduation Pathways: For high schools, track graduation rates and completion pathways for cohorts
• Withdrawal and Dropout Patterns: Identify trends in student retention and attrition

Filters

Academic dashboards typically include filters that let you narrow your view by:

• School: Select one school or view district-wide data
• Grade: Filter by grade level
• Year: Choose current or historical school years
• Student Number: Look up specific students
• Teacher: Filter by teacher (where applicable to the dashboard type)

Most dashboards let you apply multiple filters at once, so you can create specific views like "10th grade math grades for School A in 2023-2024."

Notes and Limitations

Data Sources and Update Schedules

• Grade and Transcript Data: Comes from your Student Information System (SIS) nightly feed. New grades typically appear in dashboards within 24 hours of being entered in your SIS.
• Assessment Data: Results for MAP Growth, EOC, and EOG assessments may come from separate data feeds and update on different schedules depending on when assessment vendors provide the data and when your district uploads it.

Dashboard Availability

Not all districts have all academic data types configured. For example:

• EOC/EOG Dashboards: Only available for districts in states that administer these assessments
• MAP Growth: Only appears if your district uses MAP Growth assessments
• High School Features: Transcript and cohort tracking features are relevant only for districts with high school grade levels

Default Thresholds

• The "Students Below 70" dashboard uses a 70-point threshold as the default cutoff for identifying at-risk students. This threshold may be customized by your district based on your specific intervention policies and standards.
