Demographics Dashboards
Overview
Demographics dashboards give you a high-level view of your district's student population. Use them to understand enrollment patterns, demographic distributions, and how your population breaks down across schools and grade levels.
You have access to two demographics dashboards:
District Demographics
The District Demographics dashboard shows your full district enrollment picture. This view is ideal for leadership-level insights into overall population composition and trends.
The dashboard includes these cards:
- Total Enrollment Today — Your current total enrollment count
- Enrollment by Race — Pie chart showing racial demographics across the district
- Enrollment by SWD — Pie chart showing Students with Disabilities versus general education
- Enrollment by Gender — Pie chart of gender distribution
- Enrollment by School — Horizontal bar chart showing enrollment per school
- Enrollment by Grade — Bar chart of enrollment by grade level
- Attendance by Grade — Bar chart showing attendance patterns by grade
You can filter this dashboard by School, Race, and Grade.
School Demographics
The School Demographics dashboard provides a school-level view with more granular detail. Select a specific school to see its individual profile and performance data.
The dashboard includes these cards:
- Total Enrollment Today — Enrollment count for the selected school
- Enrollment by ED Status — Pie chart for Economically Disadvantaged status
- Enrollment by Grade — Bar chart
- Enrollment by Gender — Pie chart
- Enrollment by SWD — Pie chart
- Student List — Full student roster table (exportable)
- Math Average Score — Gauge visualization
- Language Arts Average Score — Gauge visualization
- Fine Arts Average Score — Gauge visualization
- Science Average Score — Gauge visualization
- Attendance by Grade — Bar chart
You can filter this dashboard by School.
How to Use Demographics Dashboards
Start with the District Demographics dashboard to see the big picture, then filter or switch to School Demographics for specific buildings.
Use the race, SWD, and gender breakdowns to understand your population composition and identify demographic patterns across your district.
The School Demographics view includes academic score gauges and a full student roster that you can export. Cross-reference these dashboards with your Attendance dashboards to see if enrollment patterns correlate with absence rates.
Important Notes
Enrollment data comes from your SIS nightly feed and reflects the most recent data available. "Total Enrollment Today" counts currently active students only. Students who have withdrawn or transferred are not included.
Academic score gauges on the School Demographics view pull from available assessment data. If a particular assessment isn't configured for your district, the gauge may not appear.
The student roster table on School Demographics can be exported for use in reports or follow-up analysis.
