FAQ and Getting Support

Getting Support

There are two ways to reach Standard Education support:

Email — send a message to support@standardeduanalytics.com.

In the portal — open a request directly from within portal.standardeducation.com while you are logged in.

Reach out before the window, not after

Most problems that cost a district completion rate — missing teacher links, roster gaps, an unclear opt-out policy — are cheap to fix before the screening window opens and expensive to fix once teachers are already confused. If something looks off during setup, ask early.

Setup and Rosters

How long does setup take? About two weeks from the day we receive a complete roster file. See Implementation Timeline.

What format should the roster be in? CSV or Excel, containing student number, student name, grade, school, teacher name, and teacher email address. See Prepare and Upload Your Roster.

We are running both IE and EC. One file or two? Two. Send the rosters as separate files.

How do we send the roster securely? Log in to the portal, select File Uploader, and upload the file. Do not send rosters by email.

A student enrolled after we sent the roster. What now? Contact support. Students are added on our side so they appear in the correct teacher's list and in your dashboards.

Teacher Access

Do teachers need accounts or passwords? No. Each teacher opens a private link and begins. Nothing to install, nothing to log in to.

What does a teacher link look like? Something like https://www.srsstools.com/srssie/b7105e9507c2491fbf89769b83197481. The string at the end is unique to that teacher.

Who sends links to teachers? Your district IT office. See Emailing Teachers.

A teacher lost their link. Have them request a resend from your district IT office. They should not use a colleague's link — it loads the wrong student list.

Can teachers use a phone? Yes. Desktop, tablet, iPhone, and Android all work.

Does a teacher have to finish in one sitting? No. Progress is saved and they can return to their link later.

Opt-Outs

How do we opt a student out in advance? Put Y in the optional opt-out column of the roster file. Y means the student should not be assessed.

Can a teacher opt a student out during screening? Yes. Consult your administrator about when that is appropriate in your district. See Handling Opt-Outs.

Do opted-out students still show up? Yes, in the teacher's list, marked as opted out. They are excluded from scoring.

Results

When are scores available? Immediately. Scores are calculated in real time as teachers enter data, so you can review partial results mid-window.

Where do I see who has finished? The teacher completion dashboard. You receive its link closer to your screening window. See Monitoring Completion.

Can we get the raw data? Yes. The export anonymizes student names by default and automatically calculates internalizing and externalizing scores with the correct tier labels. A version including student names can also be produced. See Scores Dashboard and Exports.

Does a High Risk score mean the student has a diagnosis? No. SRSS-IE is a screener, not a diagnostic instrument. A High Risk score means further assessment may be warranted.
