Teacher Links and Access
Overview
Every teacher gets a dedicated, private page for conducting their screenings. Teachers do not create accounts, do not pick passwords, and do not log in to the Standard Education portal — they simply open their link and start.
What We Send Back
Once all students from your roster are loaded, Standard Education sends your district a file pairing each teacher with the URL they will use. Links look like this:
https://www.srsstools.com/srssie/b7105e9507c2491fbf89769b83197481
The long string at the end is unique to that teacher. It is what makes the page private and what loads the correct student list.
Check the File Before You Distribute
Before anything goes out to teachers, confirm:
- Every teacher who should be screening appears in the file
- No teacher appears twice under different name spellings
- The teacher count matches what you expect from your roster
Catching a gap here is far easier than chasing it mid-window, when a teacher reports that half their class is missing.
Treat links like credentials
A screening link is the only thing standing between someone and that teacher's student list. Send each teacher only their own link. Do not post links to a shared drive, an intranet page, or a staff-wide email, and do not paste the full list into a group message.
Distributing Links
Links are sent to teachers by your district IT office, not by Standard Education. This keeps the message coming from an internal address teachers recognize and trust, which matters for open rates and for avoiding spam filtering. See Emailing Teachers.
Link Behavior
- Devices — the screening site works from desktop, tablet, iPhone, and Android, so teachers can complete screenings on whatever device they have.
- Returning — a teacher can open their link more than once. They do not have to finish every student in one sitting.
- Scope — a teacher's link shows only the students assigned to them in your roster file.
When a Teacher Loses Their Link
Have teachers request a resend through your district IT office rather than asking a colleague to forward theirs — a forwarded link loads the wrong student list. If IT does not have the file, contact support. See FAQ and Getting Support.
Roster Changes Mid-Window
If a teacher joins the district or a class is reassigned after links are generated, contact support rather than reassigning links informally. New students and new teachers need to be added on our side to appear in the right screening list and in your dashboards.
